I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really going ahead.
